Hey guys today I will be writing about travel hacks, these hacks are the ones I know and those I have learned along the way.
So now with the hacks, these will be in subtitles of their own starting with,
- Befor travling hacks
- Packing hacks
- Airport hacks
- Destination Hotel/Hostels hacks
Befor travling hacks.
So the first thing you will need is your passport and tickets, I like to keep mine in a organizer with a pen and that country money.
Then I like to check the weather for the time I am going, this will help when picking out what clothes to take with you.
Now for clothes take clothes that can go with others in your suitcase, the best way to do it is place all the clothes on the bed and start making outfits with them, you can normally get 3 different outfits out of 3 tops so this is really good. And this will stop you from over packing.
Packing hacks.
Hack 1, I’m sure everyone knows this but it is best to roll your clothes instead of folding, as you can make more space in your bag/suitcase this way.
Hack 2, You can get these things called packing cubes and basically they are a square bag where you can place your clothes in rolled or folded, I have found they are best used in suitcases rather than backpacks. However you can get a set or get a size you want most sites like eBay/Amazon have the sets with 6-8 of them in there.
Hack 3, Place the shoes you are taking in shower caps to keep any dirty from them off your clothes, or the suitcase/bag itself, or you can get a shoe draw string bag for them.
Hack 6, with your cables for your cameras phones and anything else you can place them in a small draw string bag or keep them altogether in a glasses case.
Hack 5, with jewelry its so annoying when necklaces get tangled, or you lose you favorite ring/earrings, so here is a hack for us girls and some of you men out there! With necklaces place the chain through a straw and fasten it to keep it secure.
Now with rings and earrings get a pill organizer and use the pots to place your rings and earring in there.
Hack 6, when it comes to your toiletries even of you have them in a toiletry bag its best to take the tops off and place some cling film over the opening and place the tops back on.
With razors as well get a fold-back clip and place it over the blades of the razor this will stop you hurting yourself if you are digging through the bag.
Also if you don’t wan your toothbrush touching the to of the hotel/hostel sink use a clothes peg to hold your toothbrush up.
Hack 7, where ever you are going on holiday you will need a plug adapter, now we all know that some of the are expensive so here is a hack I do all the time, Where ever I am going I get two adapters one goes into my carry on and one goes into my suitcase, now here is the hack, take two extension cable with you so you don’t need more than 2 adapters, this means you can charge you stuff at once and not worry about spending so much on the adapters one goes in your suitcase and the other can go in your carry on.
Hack 8, Also when traveling its best to take a portable charger with you so you can charge your stuff now I found a really cheap one on eBay that is battery operated I have used it many times and I used it at Glastonbury, these work so well as you can buy batteries for cheap, so I would defiantly get one of them, it works through a USB port and it has a light on it to.
Airport hacks
Water usually costs a lot more at airports. So to avoid paying so much bring your own foldable water bottle to fill up once you are through the security checkpoints. Some airports don’t have free drinking fountains, however when boarding the plane you can ask for water from one of the cabin crew and normally they will fill it up for free.
If you don’t like packed airports and rush-hour traffic and you really don’t mind overnight flights, try and book night flights normally after 10pm, you can board you plane and go right to sleep, you can then wake up at you next destination feeling refresh. doing this it is a good idea to take a scarf as a blanket, eye mask, ear plugs and a travel pillow too.
Destination Hotel/Hostels hacks
When you get to your hotel or hostels and check in always ask the stuff for a local map or have a map printed off already, this is also a good moment to get all the local numbers for the staff.
It is also best to learn the local language, if you can’t pick it up take language books with you as you can always point to the word you want to say or at lest try and say it.
And the last hack I have for yous is when in your hotel (hostels normally don’t do it) you could use the small toiletries they give you, or you could take them home and use them on your next travels, however if you use them up before hand sometimes if you go to the front desk and ask if they have some toiletries sometimes you will get handed a small bag of them, this is one you can use or keep as well.
Thats all I have for you guys!
If there is any hacks I haven’t said or you know some more please share with us all!
Happy travels everyone!
